Plots

From The Sire De Maletroit's Door: two friends reunite, one visiting the other. The pair get into jeopardy. The local (perhaps a rogue) is mortally wounded, and sends the visitor to a location he thinks is safe: the rendezvous with his beloved. But waiting for him is the beloved's guardian, who mistakes the visitor for the rogue, and metes punishment on him.

From Afraid to Live, Afraid to Die (maybe a good play): a young woman goes to stay with her aunt with a bunch of old maids in a scary house. Value in the details.

From Solid Gold Soldiers An army fighting a losing war needs supplies for major offensive to turn the tide. A sympathetic government will sell them supplies, but will not accept their currency or promise of an exchange of goods. Losing army's government is blockaded, sympathetic government has blockade runners. Sympathetic government wants huge sum of gold (or whatever). They will use their blockade runners to get it out (risk) and supplies in (additional risk). That's an exciting premise, but in this version the sympathetic government representative is actually an imposter looking to steal the gold.

Name place: Shiloh (place of peace), e.g. "Journey to Shiloh" sounds cool
