There isn’t a good way to conditionally apply a light to a mesh. See this issue
Prescribed solution is to use multiple scenes. We’d need multiple meshes, I think, so their visibility could be independently toggled. But then shadows wouldn’t work.
What about a custom material that only cares about directional light?
